Is sending faxes by e-mail secure?

Faxservice has developed an extremely secure system for sending and receiving your faxes. You will be given a unique key code which you can use to send faxes by e-mail and you have the option of using IP authorisation.

Unique key code

Every time you send a fax you enter your personal key code in the subject line of your e-mail. That will prevent unauthorised use of your fax account.

Security by means of IP authorisation

You can set additional security on your fax account by means of IP authorisation. That will prevent anyone using your fax account from IP addresses other than your own. When a fax is received by e-mail, the fax server will check whether it has been sent from an authorised IP address. This check can take place in various ways:
  • Check of the IP range;
  • Using Sender Policy Framework (SPF);
  • Check of MX records.
If you wish to use IP authorisation, a Faxservice Corporate account is the solution. The Corporate account offers a host of benefits. Read more about the security of digital faxes on: www.faxservice-corporate.com »
